Industrial gas filtration and power generation sector. Parker Hannifin has launched two new aftermarket cartridge filters.

Parker designs filters to meet special applications, and manufactures after-sale filters for most OEM dust collection equipment, and helps customers increase their profits through design improvements.

The latest development of this department is a replacement cartridge filter for OEM brand dust collection systems. The main advantage of this filter is an enhanced, more traditional design. The construction of this filter does not have an internal cone filter included by the OEM, resulting in greater pleat depth. In order to enhance the tightness, the filter has a wider gasket contact area than the OEM filter. To prevent bending, the replacement filter element is made of a harder, heavier metal plate top plate. The sturdy filter design also includes a galvanized expanded metal core, polyurethane potting compound, and four 1-inch wide reinforcement tapes.

Another notable feature of this pulse jet cartridge filter is that it can be directly interchanged with OEM filters without any modification to the dust collector. This makes the replacement filter element compatible with any application that currently uses OEM filters with similar media.

"This replacement filter element is designed to solve the problems customers encountered when using OEM brand filters. With greater fold depth and proven design improvements, customers on the test site reported lower pressure drop and longer filter life. "Said Jeff Canfield, Senior Product Engineer in the Industrial Gas Filtration and Power Generation Division.

Parker has developed dozens of OEM brand competitive fit filters, including 52 inches. The ink cartridges use a continuous full-height pleated pack instead of stacking and connecting two 260-inch tall ink cartridges in the original configuration. For customers, this means that there is less possibility of leakage, no media is wasted at the junction of the two parts, and less labor and materials are required to make a full-height pleated bag. Parker provides improved performance, which ultimately leads to a safer, cleaner, and less-maintained work environment.
